The conflict over properties in Baks-Rrjoll, Velipoja, between residents of the area and the Gener 2 company that is developing a tourist resort there, has moved to Tirana. The parties were invited to discuss on the Opinion show of journalist Blendi Fevziu, where they were involved in tense debates from time to time during the broadcast. But at the end of the show, upon leaving, representatives of both parties were involved in a physical conflict.
Security camera footage shows the moment when several people coming from outside the television premises collide with other people who were inside the building's perimeter.
Initially, the conflicts are verbal, but very quickly degenerate into physical clashes with fists.
After the intervention of the people present, the parties separated for a few moments. One of them got into a car to leave the scene. But the tension did not stop there.
It appears that several people approach the vehicle and hit the windshield with a traffic cone.
At that moment, the driver of the vehicle pulls over and then, moving forward at speed, hits one of the people who attacked him, taking him several meters onto the hood of the car and then throwing him onto the asphalt.
As a result of the collision and physical conflict, several people were injured and received treatment in hospital.
After the event, the parties gave different versions of what happened after the show.
Fatmir Shpellzaj, who claims to be the owner of the land in Rrjoll with documents and a court decision, states that his son was raped by residents after the debate in the studio.
"I just left the Trauma Hospital, where for hours I stood next to my son, who was brutally massacred by a group of people who, instead of documents, only have violence in their hands. The event happened yesterday after I chose to go to defend my truth on the Opinion show in front of several people who have long been creating a false story about Rrjollin, manipulating people's sensitivities and presenting themselves as owners or heirs of a land for which they have no documents ," said Fatmir Shpellzaj.
On the other hand, Prek Molla and other residents of the area claim that they were provoked and threatened by the other side and that the conflict started after a verbal clash outside the television premises.
"The boy from Shpellzaj tested us by hitting us with his shoulder and during the debate he said that he had come prepared. He was accompanied by about 10-15 people, who according to him were armed and equipped with baseball bats. They had come with the intention of taking our documents. I was dragged by some of them," said Prekë Molla, a resident of Rrjoll.
Both sides have called on the police to investigate the incident to clarify the circumstances and avoid further escalation of the conflict that has been tense in the Rrjoll area for weeks. The police have meanwhile begun verifications to identify the persons involved in the conflict./ Klan News
