Journalist Klodiana Lala has spoken about the arrest of Ilir Meta, describing it as news that was not a surprise. She said that Meta has been a 'target' of SPAK for almost 4 years.

The journalist discovered that new information about his activity was extracted from a seized cell phone.

"The arrest of Ilir Meta was not a sudden news. Meta has long had a harsh language towards SPAK. There are also other people under security measures. Monika Kryemadhi, Ilir Meta's ex-wife, is also subject to mandatory appearance measures.

It has been 4 years since the Prosecutor's Office started investigations into several cases. First, the investigation was about the CEZ-DIA affair, Kastriot Ismailaj was convicted in the case and there were other people investigated.

There are three separate cases, which have been stopped at the property investigation.

Even from a seized cell phone, new data about Ilir Meta's activities have been extracted," Lala told News24.
