Ben Sula , 45 years old, a resident of Sinaballaj, Rrogozhina, for two months had become the nightmare of many residents of district no. 1 of the city of Saranda, mainly in the Turizme-Canali i Čuka area.

Even at the moment when he was caught, 45-year-old Ben Sula was watching for the "next prey", but this time he failed. According to the police, Sula was "a specialist in the task he had set himself, that of theft, and he acted alone".

After observing open windows or balconies, he immediately climbed up and entered without asking about the height, until he reached the final goal, the robbery.

He has benefited large sums, up to 1.5 million new lek he managed to get in a flat, while it is calculated that from the cash money and jewels and valuables stolen during this season and the last one, he has benefited about 50 thousand euros.

In some cases, as he found the residents asleep, he threw pepper spray at them to prevent them from reacting even if they woke up. But, in all cases, according to the police, he entered and left without being noticed by anyone, even though he may have passed in front of the feet of at least 5 people who were sleeping.

During two months, the police had no facts about him, only videos as he walked in the narrows of neighborhood No. 1 or on the city boulevard. In most of the videos, he wore the same style of clothing, T-shirt and short-sleeved pants and sandals.

His appearance did not mean anything to the police stations of the country where the photo provided by the videos was distributed, so much so that for a moment the police officers of Saranda suspected that he was a foreigner. For this event, the task of agents and every police service in Saranda was left to catch a car that was moving around 03.00-04.00 near the boulevard or the narrows of neighborhood no. 1 and who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts and mostly sandals.

The police held "bingo" around 03:00 at dawn on Saturday, near the city boulevard, on the entrance road to the "Turism - Kanali Çukës" axis. Civilian officers of the Saranda Police Station spotted the suspect, neutralizing him and, together with the "Eagle" forces, escorted the "nightmare" of vacationers and the police to the Police Station of Saranda.

Sula admitted not only the 8 thefts of this season, but also 14 of the previous season, for which the police did not even suspect that he was the same author. "I had debts, I was obliged. I would steal and run away to Rrogozhina, pay my debts and come back again".

This was the alibi for which the police are suspicious and continue to investigate any possible residence in Saranda, but also in Rrogozhin, where Ben Sula has hidden millions of lek, thousands of euros and dollars, as well as valuables stolen during two tourist seasons in Saranda.
