A 57-year-old man has been arrested by the Maliqi police after threatening his wife and their minor son with a knife.

The Maliq Police Commissariat, after receiving a report that in the village of Podgorije, a citizen threatened his wife and their 16-year-old son with a knife, organized work to prevent a possible criminal incident and bring the perpetrator to criminal responsibility.

As a result of timely response and quick actions, citizen BB, 57 years old, was captured and arrested for the criminal offenses of "Domestic Violence" and "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Cold Weapons".

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen threatened his wife and their minor son with a knife, after a conflict for weak motives, who were provided with a protection order.

Police services have found and seized the knife as material evidence.
