A person has been arrested in the Belshi area under the charge of intentional arson, a criminal offense that already provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison for the perpetrators.

The services of the Cërrik and Belsh police stations, after being notified of a fire in the village of Lisaj, immediately went to the area, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of this case and arresting the perpetrator.

Based on the information provided by the police intelligence, the Police services have made it possible to identify and arrest the author of this case of arson, a citizen of KL, a resident of Belsh.

This citizen, allegedly because he threw a lit cigarette, activated a fire on his land and from the spread of the flames, 15 hectares of forest surface in the village of Lisaj and other surfaces planted with fruit trees were burned.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
