The lawyer appointed by the state for the 41-year-old has indicated that Ylber Jaku, who appeared in court today where he was sentenced to "prison arrest", has stated that he is seeking representatives of the British embassy.

Ylber Jaku has stated that he is a British citizen, is married to an English woman, and has two daughters.

"The court ordered a prison sentence because we are dealing with the criminal offense of murder. In the last allegations, when questioned by the court, Ylber Jaku stated that he has no allegations. He did not even ask for a lawyer and did not speak about the case because he says "I have seen how my parents have suffered for 20 years, I do not trust and do not speak to this justice system."

He is seeking representation from the British embassy in the continuation of his process. He is a British citizen and has an English wife and two daughters.

"Ylber Jaku has not given any testimony either before the police officer or before the court, he only states that he does not trust this justice as a British citizen, that he should be a representative of the British embassy to explain the case of what happened to his parents and the negligence of the institutions, local government and police, which has caused what I ended up here today," said his lawyer.

The serious crime was committed on the afternoon of May 7, where Ylber Jaku, 41 years old, took the life of his neighbor, Reshi Sallahu, 34 years old, near his home.

The fatal ambush that befell the 34-year-old came from an escalating conflict that has been going on for at least 20 years, of which all institutions are aware and no one has intervened to resolve or extinguish it.

But the most serious aggravation occurred two days ago, when the victim's sister attacked the perpetrator's parents with an axe, seriously injuring them. After the incident, the couple's son arrived in the village of Pla, waiting for Reshit Sallahu to return to the apartment.
