A 30-year-old man has been arrested by police in Tirana for allegedly setting two cars on fire with gasoline in the Kombinat area.

Police say the 30-year-old is also the perpetrator of the theft of three apartments and a car in recent months in this area.

Police Announcement:

The police operation codenamed "The Pursuit" is being finalized by Police Station No. 6.

The 30-year-old man, suspected of burning 2 vehicles and 4 thefts, with a criminal record for theft, has been arrested and placed in custody.

Specialists of Police Commissariat No. 6 organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "The Pursuit", within the framework of which citizen M. Xh., 30 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested.

Investigations suspect that this citizen:

-burned 2 vehicles owned by citizen G. Xh., on 17.03.2025, on "Hamdi Cenoymeri" street, Kombinat;
-stole sums of money and various valuables, from 3 apartments and 1 vehicle, during the last months, in different areas in Tirana.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover and document other criminal events that this citizen may have committed.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court for further action.
