After the serious attack that occurred this morning in Shkodra, where two people were killed and two others were injured, the mayor of the city, Benet Beci , has also reacted .

In a reaction on social media, Beci expressed shock at the event and demanded harsh legal punishment for the perpetrators.

"Dear citizens, this morning for Shkodra was not an ordinary one, as happens every day in our city. A criminal event that must receive the harsh punishment of the law has shaken the heart of the city," the mayor said in his reaction.

Beci announced that he has been in contact with the Minister of Interior and law enforcement structures, demanding that the event be treated as a priority and that the perpetrators face the force of the law.

"I have contacted the Minister of Interior and all the structures that fight crime, in the name of the lives and safety of the citizens of Shkodra, who do not deserve to face such scenes," he stressed.

The serious incident that occurred around 08:50 has revived concerns about public safety in the city, provoking strong reactions from both citizens and local and central authorities.

Police have arrested the suspected perpetrator, Rakip Gila, while investigations are continuing to uncover the motives and connections behind the assassination.
