Shpati Lena and Hakim Xhezo were on their way to Lushnja prison when they were assassinated on the way out of Vlora. Clothes and food were found in the vehicle, while they were going to take it to Eduard Xhezoz, sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of Arben Beqiraj.

The victims of the assassination in Panaja of Vlora seem to have been chased by the aggressors.

Sources have announced that this morning Geno alias Shpati Lena and Hakim Xhezo were traveling from Vlora towards Lushnja, where Ermal alias Eduard Xhezo is being held in prison.

Both of today's victims were carrying food and clothes, an act that they must have done before as their route of movement has been well studied by the people who were planning the murder.

The moment of the attack was carried out exactly in an area where there are no business security cameras, but also there is no movement of citizens.

The suspicions about the event are due to revenge, where after Eduard Xhezo was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the charge of "Deliberate murder" to the detriment of Arben Beqiraj or "Beni te Cheche", this event happened on August 4, 2019 on the beach of Vlora . This sentence was also given for the charge of "Possessing firearms without permission" and "Firearm injury to the son of Arben Beqiraj, Ergest Beqiraj and Nesim Hodaj."

The prosecution claimed and maintained the position of premeditated murder carried out in cooperation, while the court softened the charge to "intentional murder", completely removing the part of cooperation.

For this incident, Shpati Lena and Eduard's brother-in-law, Ariel Kingji, were fined, who were accused by the prosecution of "Criminal concealment".

Arben Beqiraj's family members and the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Vlora disagreed with the court's decision, which at the beginning of 2022 filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, requesting a higher sentence for Eduard Xhezon and the two persons others, sentenced to a fine.

In May 2022, Lena was arrested by the Vlora police in the "Cold Water" area, after she was caught with two guns in the car together with Kristi Drolli and Ariel Kingji, Eduard Xhezo's brother-in-law.

The two pistols were taken over by Kingji and Drolli, who are currently in prison. As for Shpati Lena, the judge of Vlora, Arbana Selmanaj, has imposed the security measure "Compulsion to appear at the police".
