Mirdita Police, in cooperation with the Lezha Local Police Directorate, has finalized the operation codenamed "Green Harvest", cracking down on a case of attempted sale of the narcotic Cannabis Sativa.
During the operation carried out on the "Shpal-Blinisht" road axis, 5 bags of cannabis with a total weight of 38.8 kilograms were seized, as well as 2 vehicles used for drug transportation.
According to the Police, the three suspects who were transporting the narcotics abandoned their vehicles and fled, taking advantage of the darkness and mountainous terrain. After investigations, they have been identified as:
DR, 40 years old, resident of Kruja;
DR, 35 years old, resident of Kruja (brother);
M. Sh., 27 years old, resident of Fushë Arrëz, Puka.
The three have been declared wanted, as they are suspected of providing narcotics with the aim of distributing them in small quantities in the city.
The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Lezha Court of General Jurisdiction for further action within the framework of the charge of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.
