Tirana police intervened during and after the Albania-Serbia match, played on the evening of June 7 at the "National Arena", arresting several people for incidents that occurred in the stadium.

According to the official announcement, the Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 1 arrested citizens DI, 31 years old, and J. Ll., 29 years old, in flagrante delicto, for disturbing public order and peace, as well as for throwing hard objects on the field during the match that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Also, 10 other people were prosecuted at large for the same offenses.

In another case, authorities arrested B. Ç., 45, an employee of the Private Physical Security Service (SHRSF), after he was caught red-handed taking money from two Kosovo citizens, in order to avoid physical checks before entering the stadium. The two Kosovo citizens have also been prosecuted at large.

The police announced that they are continuing to work to identify other people involved in illegal actions during the sporting event.
