The hearing for the former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu, in the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime, is postponed.

The five experts submitted to the court the answers to the questions asked by the prosecution and the lawyers, but both sides have asked for time to get to know these answers.

The court accepted their request, postponing the hearing to September 11 at 10:00.

The former Minister of Defense is accused of abusing his duties in the procedures for setting up the weapons dismantling factory in Gërdec. The expert report at that time shows that a damage of 59 million Lek was caused to the state, since the transport of ammunition was not calculated.

The explosion in Gërdec on March 15, 2008 killed at least 26 people and injured hundreds of others.
