Journalist from Kosovo: Get out of here! Tourism in Albania is not kept alive
Gazetari Berat Buzhala

For several days on social networks there has been a debate about the emptiness of beaches in Albania, while many say the reason is the lack of tourists from Kosovo who have chosen other destinations this year.

Whether it's because of high prices or something else, many think it's true.

But journalist Berat Buzhala thinks otherwise. In a paper of his own, he lists some of Albania's developments in brain and infrastuction, saying that tourism in Albania is not kept alive by Kosovo Albanians.

He further writes that Kosovo Albanians have chosen Albania because of low prices in the past as well as the simplicity to deal with because of the language, but now according to him Albania does not need tourists from Kosovo as it is a destination for foreign tourists.

The book of Buzhala:

- In Vlora, an international airport is being built, which also enables transatlantic flights;

- In Palase, near Dhermise, 7 five star hotels are being built, including the most famous world brands;

- In Vlora, a village is being built about 30 kilometers long, which goes to Orikum;

- In Saranda the language that you least hear is Albanian, while the tourists of scandinavian countries, the richest in the world, are the tourists with the greatest number. Hundreds of thousands of them have also bought apartments.

- At Rinas Airport, over 1 million people are flying each month;

- The budget of Albania is about 7 billion even once larger than Kosovo's, although Albania has more than Kosovo only about 900 thousand inhabitants;

- Albania is a member of NATO and its eu membership is a matter of 5-10 years;

Albania is America's main ally in this part of the Balkans, no matter which party has power there.

On the other side, there are people in Kosovo who think that tourism in Albania is kept alive.

First, we never went to Albania for patriotic reasons, but because it was free and because most of the cases we are monolingual, it has come easy for us to understand - especially in Shengjin, Golem and Velipoje.

The nearer the EU, the stronger economically, the more expensive Albania will be. Don't believe it, go to Croatia.

Of course it will cost a little more when the next chapter is Casper from Oslo, not Shabani from Çabiqi, or Deda from Zllakuqani.

Don't worry, now the arabs are not dependent on us. We depend on The Arabs.

Uh yes. There is corruption and crime in Albania, as there is in every other country. It is endemic, but fortunately now Albania has SPAK, who is investigating them, arresting them, and many are fleeing.

I'll be told, like we're two beaches on Lake Ujman, we're thinking we don't need anyone now.

I'm going to get more bastards out there.
