In the early hours of this morning, around 02:45, an unusual rise in sea level was recorded in the city of Vlora, a phenomenon that, according to local fishermen, has not been observed before with this intensity.

The water has advanced towards the land, penetrating into several areas near the fishing center in Radhimë, while the anchored boats are stretched tight by the ropes due to the sudden rise in sea level. The water has also flooded the warehouses near the fishing port, creating a worrying situation for the fishermen's tools and equipment.

According to their testimonies, the rise in sea level was significantly greater than normal tides, reaching almost 1 meter, or even more.

Another worrying element has been the fact that some fish have been seen coming ashore, a phenomenon that usually occurs during rough seas or strong changes in water level.

Usually the tide level is 40–60 centimeters, but this time it was more than 1 meter.

Other fishermen, who were at sea at that time, also expressed surprise at this rare phenomenon, emphasizing that they have never seen such a frightening and sudden rise in sea level before.
