An 8-month-old child died about two weeks ago in the children's hospital in the capital, as the parents filed a complaint with the Shkodra prosecutor's office for negligence.

According to sources, the 8-month-old baby from the village of Grudë in Shkodra died in the hospital in Tirana, where he had been hospitalized after a heart problem.

The baby had to undergo a transplant, but could not survive.

The baby's parents reported the case to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, where they claimed that the cause of the minor's death was negligence and medical incompetence by the doctors of the Shkodra Hospital.

The incident is said to have happened about two weeks ago, when the minor was sent to the Shkodra hospital and then the Shkodra hospital sent him to Tirana. In the children's hospital in Tirana, the baby was intubated, but it didn't work.

After the parents' complaint, the police and the prosecutor's office started investigations and seized the child's medical record.
