Shkodra was shaken on Monday morning by a gun attack in a bar near the municipality building, where two people were killed and two others were injured.

This attack comes just three days after the mafia murder of 34-year-old Kristian Kola, while he was drinking coffee at a bar near "Kinema Republika".

According to Euronews Albania, from camera analysis and preliminary investigations, the perpetrator of both incidents has similar physical features and uses a similar method of execution.

Investigators suspect that due to the physical resemblance and the manner of the assassination, where fire was opened from a motorcycle, it is suspected that we are dealing with the same perpetrator.

The perpetrator of both incidents was armed with two guns and a can of gasoline.

The man arrested for today's attack is Ragip Gilaj, who was caught while leaving the scene. He abandoned his motorbike and tried to flee in a vehicle, but after an accident in the area of ??the former "Degës" intersection, he was arrested by police. Footage obtained by Euronews Albania shows the moment when officers chase and arrest him.

The victims of this Monday's assassination attempt have been identified as Armando Pali, a former IMT employee and former member of the Shkodra Municipal Council, and Geridon Kraja.

Erogen Vaso (Erogan Brajovic), suspected of being the main target of the assassination, and the bar's waitress were injured.

Sources indicate that Gilaj had previously been arrested for illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking, but was released by the authorities.

He is suspected of being a contract killer, while investigations into the connections and motives of the two assassinations continue.
