An elderly Albanian woman lost her life in a tragic accident on a road in Granarolo dell'Emilia in Italy.

The media across the Adriatic report that the victim is 75-year-old citizen Salie Gjonzenalaj. The accident happened on the morning of May 24 in via San Donato, in Granarolo.

The victim's body was found after several hours on the street. The Albanian woman was hit to death by a vehicle driven by an Italian.

The driver of the car was a 55-year-old Italian, who is alleged to have lost control of the vehicle, colliding with the light poles and then leaving the road.

It was the family members who were alarmed by not seeing the 75-year-old return to her home, not far from the place of the tragedy.

It would have been one of the children who found the body hidden by the vegetation, following the paths where she went for a walk.
