The court of Elbasan released today from detention the two Russians Svetlana Timofevaa and Mikhail Zorin as well as the Ukrainian Fedir Alpatov, accused of the incident at the arms factory in Gramsh last year.
For Mikhail Zorin, the security measure "house arrest" has been imposed, while Svetlana Timofevaa and Fedir Alpatov have been released, but the Prosecutor's Office has ordered the blocking of their passports. This measure will be in effect until the investigation is closed.
The reason for their release 9 months after the arrest was the end of the detention period, while the Prosecution has not yet received the expertise related to the photographic and surveillance equipment with which they were detained near the Gramsh plant in August of the year passed.
They were arrested with fanfare on suspicion that they might have come with the intention of espionage for the interests of the Russian Republic. At the end of August last year, Svetlana Valerevna Timoveva together with Mikhail Zorin and Fedis Alpatov tried to enter the former military camp in Gramsh and threw pepper spray at the military guards of the facility.
Investigations into their activity have been repeatedly postponed by the Elbasan prosecutor's office in anticipation of taking the case to trial.
