Selling weapons for 50 thousand Lek, AMP stops the police inspector in Skrapar

A police inspector on duty at the Skrapar Police Station has been detained by AMP agents, after being denounced by a journalist as an arms dealer.

According to the announcement of the Police Supervision Agency for the Fier-Berat region, the inspector with the initials DN, with the duty of Community Policing Specialist, has been arrested.

"He is suspected of the criminal offense of "Possession without a permit, production of explosive weapons and ammunition". The ban was carried out after the denunciation of a journalist, that in the city of Çorovoda, this citizen was selling weapons, against the monetary value of 50,000 lek", the announcement states.

After the verifications carried out by the AMP, the procedural acts were administered, and as material evidence, a fabricated combat firearm, of the automatic type, was seized.

The procedural materials were sent to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Berat General Jurisdiction.
