A 51-year-old, the chief engineer in an oil production company and a 56-year-old technician have been put under investigation, after polluting the waters of a stream in the city of Kuçova , by discharging hydrocarbon residues there.

Gramoz Meçaj and Tomorr Laze are under investigation  .

Immediately after the notification of the pollution of the waters of a stream in the city of Kuçova, from the discharge of hydrocarbon waste, the specialists of the Kuçova Police have carried out all the necessary investigative and procedural actions to determine the criminal responsibility for the pollution.

"At the end of these actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the citizens GM, 51 years old, and TL, 56 years old, respectively with the duties of chief engineer and head of technical security, in an oil production company, in Kucove.

From the investigations, it results that from the activity in the field of hydrocarbons, of the company where these citizens worked, the waters of the stream were polluted, given that, in violation of the law, residues of these substances were discharged there", informs the police.

The materials were passed to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action.
