Two people were arrested after being caught with firearms and ammunition. Arrested are 27-year-old Jurgen Gurthi and 45-year-old Egent Alku, both residents of Tirana.

The firearm and combat ammunition, along with the vehicle and 2 mobile phones, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlora, for further actions.

Notification:

The services of the Special Force "Shqiponja" of DVP Vlorë, following the work to prevent and attack criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information provided on the operative route that two citizens were moving armed, in a vehicle, on "Murat Tërbaçi" street, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Strike 3" for their capture.

During the operation, the Police services stopped the "Volkswagen" type vehicle, driven by citizen Jurgen Gurthi and passenger citizen Egent Alku., where during the search they found a firearm, a pistol with combat ammunition.

Following the procedural actions, by the crime investigation specialists of the Vlora Police Station, citizens Jurgen Gurthi, 27 years old, and Egent Alku, 45 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested red-handed.

The firearm and combat ammunition, along with the vehicle and 2 mobile phones, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlora, for further actions.
