The Tirana Prosecution Office announced today, January 11, that it will take the testimony of Emiljano Shullazi regarding the assassination attempt that occurred in Rinas, where Gilmando Dani was killed.

Shullazi is expected to be questioned about any suspicions regarding certain individuals who may have organized the event.

Gilmando Dani was an active member of the criminal group led by Shullazi and had problems with the extortion law, being released from prison in October 2024. It currently remains unclear whether Shullazi will provide direct details about the incident, but his testimony will be taken in detention facilities 313.

Dani was traveling in a vehicle with Muçi Shaljani when he was shot dead. The two had just arrived from Spain when the assassination occurred.

In recent days, the Prosecution has received testimonies from several people who were in Rinas, as there are suspicions that the criminal group may have had informants at the airport, who reported on the victims' movements before the incident. Investigations are underway intensively and authorities are trying to document the entire chain of events in order to uncover those responsible.

The prosecution emphasizes that it remains on alert and that any new information will be used to advance the investigations, focusing on identifying the persons who organized the assassination and the manner in which the event was carried out in Rinas.
