In front of the KLP troupe, the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, took stock of the institution he leads throughout 2023.

Duman emphasized that SPAK is a reliable institution in the eyes of the allies, while he said that in 2023 a qualitative increase has been achieved

"For 2023, SPAK has recognized a qualitative increase, these are also cited in the Progress Report published in November 2023. SPAK has managed to create credibility with the partner authorities. Representatives of the DEA and the FBI are attached to SPAK. We have established direct contact with the authorities of Latin American countries", said Dumani.

Dumani also said that SPAK has registered a high number of new criminal proceedings.

"201 proceedings for corruption, 13 proceedings for terrorism. There is a significant improvement in the investigations undertaken by SPAK. In 2023, 67 proceedings were registered mainly, 28 for corruption. In 109 proceedings for corruption and 77 for organized crime, were used interceptions. Only during 2023, 10 new investigative teams were established. In 2023, 299 new proceedings were registered. There is an increase of 8-10 percent for cases sent to court. 20 percent increase for criminal offenses of corruption. For the measures of insurance, SPAK has maintained the same approach throughout the last 3 years", reported Dumani.
