A few hours ago, the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) communicated the accusations to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, as well as his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, amid noises in the courtyard of his supporters.

Berisha has officially been charged with the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials, committed in collaboration."

Like former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, his lawyers and the Democratic Party itself insist that the decision was dictated by Prime Minister Edi Rama to hit the opposition and silence its leader.

But, according to SPAK, during the time when he was prime minister, Berisha established the legal basis for the interests of his son-in-law, as well as exerted pressure on his subordinates to promote the completion of the property restitution and privatization procedures as quickly as possible. of the degraded buildings of the former "Partizani" sports club.

An hour later, Jamarbër Malltezi appeared alone at SPAK accompanied by the police and lawyers.

Unlike his father-in-law who stayed 20 minutes in SPAK, Malltezi stayed only 5 minutes.

He signed when he learned about the charge and with the file of 500 pages under his arm he left the SPAK building accompanied only by a policeman and his lawyer.

But the story of "Partizan" is actually missing another character.

It is about the joker "silent" in front of the cameras and the media, the builder Fatmir Bektashi, for whom SPAK declares that he has benefited from large financial sums from the alienation of the land for high-rise construction of buildings in the former "Partizani" complex.

On the latter, the charges for the criminal offenses "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation and "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity".

Bektashi is accused of having entered into an agreement with Jamarbër Malltez using his mediation with the former owners of the land and has transferred around 5.4 million euros to the son-in-law of the former prime minister.

But unlike what he did with the special prosecutors, Bektashi appeared funny in front of the cameras, refusing every question from the journalists, but not sparing his sarcastic facial expressions in front of the cameras.

But beyond the charisma of Bektashi, what has caught the eye during the entire investigative process of the file in question has been the disproportionate treatment of the accused by SPAK.

This is because in setting the security measure, SPAK demanded "house arrest" for Berisha and Malltez, while for Bektash only "obligation to appear".

And starting from today's absence in SPAK of Bektashi, the question that arises in this case is whether we will again have the same preferential treatment (at least apparently) of the builder Fatmir Bektashi, or SPAK will reflect and announce this as well last defendant?

And while the concern is above, another question arises: Has SPAK sent a "summons letter" directly to the beneficiaries of the constructions in the area of ​​the former "Partizani" sports complex.

OFFICIAL CHARGES

The citizen Fatmir Bektashi is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Active corruption of high state officials", provided by article 245 of the Criminal Code, as he is the one who collaborated with the citizen Jamarbër Malltezi to achieve the goal, which was the use of sports territories for construction. Through the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, the citizen Jamarbër Malltezi was provided with illegal benefits in the total amount of 672,976,832 ALL or 5,420,345 euros.

Also, the citizen Fatmir Bektashi is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code in cooperation with the citizen Jamarbër Malltezi, as he enabled through the company "Homeplan" sh.pk the realization of the concealment of the true origin of the irregular monetary benefits of the citizen Jamarbër Malltezi, presenting them as legal income from business.
