Just a short time after the Special Prosecution Office received the gigantic "Bankers Petrolium" file from its counterparts in Fier, details emerge about the involvement of politicians and big businesses in this billion-dollar affair. Journalist Xhevair Zhabina, speaking about the launch of the investigation by SPAK into the "Bankers" file, singled out the accusation of a criminal organization. He told "MCN Live" that such an accusation means that some roles of the organization have been discovered.
According to him, it is now up to SPAK to go to the senior officials and businessmen who have helped "Bankers" justify those invoices, which are fictitious invoices. Zhabina said that there are former members of this parliament who have invoiced the company "Bankers" in millions of euros and the file includes "Raiffeisen Bank" and the businessman who owns "Bolv Oil".
"In addition to the structured criminal group, it is suspected that it involves criminal organizations, it seems that this investigation has been taken seriously by SPAK. The investigation is being followed by prosecutor Anita Jella, we are still at the stage where the investigation has been registered only on criminal offenses and not with the names of specific persons.
The Fier Prosecutor's Office has identified several people, including the former administrator, the administrator, and several other officials of the "Bankers" company.
Now it's up to SPAK to go after the senior officials and businessmen who helped "Bankers" justify those invoices, which are fictitious invoices.
It is up to the Special Prosecution Office to verify whether this money has gone into the pockets of senior officials.
SPAK must prove the scheme that has been carried out in Patos-Marinëz over the years. The criminal organization is the accusation that stands out to me, SPAK has defined its roles in this affair, but it needs more work to move towards concrete security measures.
The Special Prosecution Office has registered criminal proceedings for the following criminal offenses: “Creation of fraudulent schemes related to value added tax”, “Hiding income”, “Laundering of proceeds of crime or criminal activity”, “Abuse of office”, “Failure to perform duties by tax authorities”, “Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials”, “Structured criminal group” and “Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group”.
There were plans to buy "Bankers" from a former Qatari minister, when it is known that this company has problems with the law and has been losing billions of dollars for years.
The Fier Prosecution has gone this far, now the Special Prosecution must go further because there are banks involved like "Raiffeisen Bank", powerful businessmen who have justified the invoices.
There are former members of this parliament who have billed the company "Bankers" in millions of euros. Will SPAK go towards security measures? The businessman who owns "Bolv Oil" was included in the file.
The Fier Prosecutor's Office has listed them as facts, it is up to SPAK to go beyond this as we are talking about very important names in politics, business and banking. This issue goes far beyond Fier.
Former MP Alket Hyseni's law firm has billed millions of euros to "Bankers". We are not saying that we are facing a criminal case against these people, but it should be investigated.
"It is clear that we have very serious criminal offenses here, because the Fier Prosecutor's Office has paved the way for SPAK. The investigation should start from 2004, where several governments are involved," he said.
