The police have issued an official statement regarding the murder of 51-year-old Valbon Beqiraj yesterday evening in Durrës.

Police announcement: 

In-depth investigative actions continue to unravel the murder that occurred yesterday evening, in neighborhood no. 12, Durrës.

On 24.09.2025, at around 19:30, the Police services received a notification that in neighborhood no. 12, Durrës, in an apartment, citizen VB, alias MB, about 51 years old, was found without signs of life.

The preliminary forensic examination conducted by the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, resulted in the 51-year-old's body showing signs of violence and wounds caused by a cutting instrument (knife), as a result of which it is suspected that this citizen lost his life.

Throughout the night and currently, the special investigative group has carried out and is carrying out a series of in-depth investigative actions, with the aim of clarifying and documenting the event, identifying and capturing the perpetrator(s).

At the conclusion of the actions, there will be a full and detailed announcement regarding this event.
