Debate on the Census/ Pastor Akil Pano responds to Gjergj Luca: The religion of the Albanian is not Albanianism, Luc!

Pastor Akil Pano has reacted on social networks, after a call by entrepreneur Gjergj Luca for all Albanians to write in the religion section of the population census that the religion of the Albanian is Albanianism.

" I have a Muslim mother, a Catholic father, an Orthodox wife, I baptized one kalama Orthodox, another went to the mosque of the neighborhood here, it is becoming a big one, it has entered the foundation. They like Muslims.

I go to pray in the Church, I also go to the mosque. Now what to write here? I like all religions. I am writing in Albanian. And I call on you, friends, all of us here to write Albanians, that we are for the nation first and for the homeland, then for religion ", said Luca, among other things.

But, according to the pastor, the Albanian's religion is not Albanian because the Albanian Constitution recognizes five religious faiths: Muslims, Catholics, Orthodox, Bektashi, Evangelicals/Protestants.

"Luca's call for Albanians not to declare their religion, but to declare only 'Albanians' in the category of religious affiliation, brings us back to the memories of the communist past. The populist Luca takes us back to the time of the communist fathers who degenerated religion in every form", says Akil Pano, among others.

As a representative of the Evangelical/Protestant religion, the pastor writes that they were founded as a religious community in Albania in 1892 under the motto "Evangelical Brotherhood of Albania ."

Akil Pano adds that the call of Gjergj Luca awakens in Albanians the memory of pain, violence, imprisonment and martyrdom of religious people.

However, Gjergj Luca's sincere call had something else, much more national and patriotic. According to him, Albanians are first for the nation and the homeland, then they are for religion, so he says that the religion of the Albanian is Albanianism.

Luca's call for Albanians not to declare their religion but to declare only 'Albanians' in the category of religious affiliation brings us back to the memories of the communist past.

Populisti Luca na kthen pas tek koha e etërve komunistë të cilët e degjeneruan fenë në çdo formë. Lufta ndaj fesë nisi me përbaltjen e figurave të larta të klerit si bashkëpunëtorë me armikun. Ndërsa pjesa dërmuese e përfaqësuesve të klerit ishin kapacitete të larta intelektuale, regjimi komunist i lidhi me injorancën dhe prapambetjen. Përbaltja e figurave dhe personaliteteve fetare ishte vetëm fillimi i projektit komunist. Më pas ideologjia marksiste, çensura, burgimet, shkatërrimi i objekteve të kultit dhe ligji kushtetues për ndalimin kategorik të fesë në Shqipëri. ‘

‘Mjeshtri i peshkut’ të bëjë kujdes kur prononcohet për fenë e Shqiptarëve dhe veçanërisht kur bën thirrje publike të këtij lloji, pasi  zgjon tek shqiptarët kujtimin e dhimbjes, dhunës, burgosjes dhe martirizimit të njerëzve të fesë.

Feja e Shqiptarit nuk është shqiptaria o Luc.

Pashko Vasa ose Vaso Pasha në poezinë e tij i bënte thirrje Shqiptarëve për bashkim, në një kohë dhe kontekst të caktuar për vendin që të gjithë e njohim.

Thirrja e tij nuk ishte kërkesë për mosidentifikim të shqiptarëve në kuadrin fetar, por thirrje për bashkim kombëtar.

Sot shqiptarët janë Muslimanë, Katolikë, Orthodhoksë, Bektashinj, Ungjillorë/Protestantë (për këtë deklarove se ishe i paditur e për padijen nuk të bëj me faj). Janë këto pesë fe të cilat njihen zyrtarisht nga shteti shqiptar përmes marrëveshjeve të ratifikuara në Kuvendin e Shqipërisë, marrëveshje të cilat u japin këtyre komuniteteve besimi statusin e bashkësive fetare të njohura nga shteti si të tilla.

Evangelicals/Protestants were founded as a religious community in Albania in 1892 under the motto 'Evangelical Brotherhood of Albania.' But you don't know this either and I don't blame you. This is an issue that should concern Evangelicals more.

The problem with your call is not that you don't know anything about the Evangelicals and their contributions to Albania related to religion, the Albanian language, education, etc. Your master problem is the call for Albanians not to declare their religious identity.

This brings us back to the tragic national past, Albanian communism. The suigeneris model that Comrade Enver raised in Albanian society, after previously liquidating religion and freedom. So, kindly ask next time, a little more care, a little more attention and of course more information.
