"Cleaning 4" in Kavaja, selling drugs near schools, 9 arrested and 3 wanted

The police operation codenamed "Cleaning 4" is being finalized, carried out by the structures of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, with a focus on cracking down on the criminal activity of distributing narcotics near schools in the city of Kavaja.

As part of the operation, 9 citizens were arrested and 3 others were wanted, suspected of being part of a group that was involved in the distribution of cocaine and cannabis in areas surrounding educational institutions.

The operation was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section, the "Eagle" Special Force and the Durrës DVP Operational Force, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës.

According to the police, the investigations lasted several months and were carried out with special methods, based on operational information, making it possible to legally document the criminal activity of the suspects. In total, the Court has set the security measure "Arrest in prison" for 9 of the 12 persons prosecuted, aged 20 to 48, all residents of Kavaja.

The Narcotics Investigation Section, the "Eagle" Special Force and the Operational Force of the Durrës DVP, in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, finalized the police operation codenamed "Cleaning 4".

The operation was finalized after several months of investigations using special methods, based on information obtained through operational means, regarding a group of citizens who were carrying out the criminal activity of selling narcotics near schools in the city of Kavaja.

As a result of investigative and operational actions, it became possible to legally document the criminal activity of the citizens involved in this network of selling narcotics, as well as the execution of the security measure "Arrest in prison" for 9 of the 12 citizens who are accused by the Court for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics".

Specifically, the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for 9 citizens aged 20 - 48, all residents of Kavaja.

In addition, 3 other accused citizens, residents of Kavaja, were declared wanted. Work continues to locate and capture them.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, were carrying out the illegal activity of selling narcotics near schools in the city of Kavaja.

During the operation, quantities of suspected narcotics, Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa, divided into doses, as well as several cell phones, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further investigative actions.
