Other details have been made public regarding the arrest of Edmond Ruçi, an officer of the Saranda Police Station who was handcuffed by the AMP.
The officer's arrest is related to a corruption case, after Ruçi provided wiretaps for two brothers suspected of criminal activity. It is learned that after conducting the wiretap, he met their mother and asked her for money to close the investigations.
The mother had called the boys to tell them about the conversation with the police officer, and the communications were recorded.
But everything was ruined by the wiretaps conducted by the officer, because when Edmond Ruçi submitted the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, he unknowingly submitted the evidence against himself, not removing it from the materials.
After uncovering the conversations, the Prosecutor's Office ordered his arrest.
