The 44-year-old man who crashed into a police vehicle in Durres to escape arrest was remanded in custody.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 16 in the former Kënetë area, where 44-year-old Rezart Abazaj failed to hit a police vehicle, endangering the lives of the officers.

The patrol was notified by residents of the area about a car that was moving rapidly and uncontrollably in neighborhood 17 and during the pursuit, in an attempt to escape the police, Abazaj moved the car in reverse and crashed into the officers' vehicle.

However, 44-year-old Rezart Abazaj was stopped by blue uniforms and found to be intoxicated with an alcohol percentage of 1.4 mg per liter.

According to the Durrës Police, the 44-year-old is a repeat offender of the same criminal offense.
