Dangerous Albanian arrested in Barcelona, ​​29-year-old wanted by France for drug trafficking

A 29-year-old Albanian, considered highly dangerous and wanted by French authorities for drug trafficking, has been arrested in Barcelona by Spanish Civil Guard agents.

According to Spanish media, the young man was caught in the Passeig de Gràcia area, and at the time of his arrest he was carrying a "Makarov" type pistol loaded with seven cartridges, considered "ready for use", as well as false identification documents.

Authorities say the 29-year-old had two European arrest warrants issued by France for drug trafficking and involvement in a criminal organization. He was also wanted by a court in Barcelona for vehicle theft.

After a pursuit operation, Civil Guard agents managed to neutralize and arrest the suspect, seizing his weapon of Soviet origin, which uses 9x18 mm ammunition.

During the search, he was also found with false Greek citizenship documents, which were suspected of being used for false identities, as well as 1,470 euros in cash.

After the arrest, the Albanian appeared before the National Audience via telematic connection from the Barcelona Court.
