The Arbri bypass road is blocked by snow, making it difficult to pass on some

The Murriz bypass on the Arbri road is blocked due to snowfall. An accident was also reported to have occurred a short time ago on this axis, causing traffic to be completely paralyzed.

Currently, there are difficulties in traffic on the road axes "Bajram Curri-Valbonë" and "Kërrnaj-Pac-Shimshan", in Kukës, "Bogë-Qafë Thorë-Theth" and "Tamarë-Selcë-Vermosh", in Shkodër. Vehicles on these axes must pass with chains, the police announce, appealing for caution.

Police announcement:

Due to snowfall in some mountainous areas of the country and rainfall in all regions of the country, the State Police has increased the presence of Traffic Police officers in the field and General Patrols, in order to monitor vehicle traffic, to prevent accidents and to help road users in need.

As a result of snowfall on road axes in the mountainous areas of Shkodra, Kukës, Dibra and Korça, the Police appeals to drivers to show more vigilance and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.

Currently, there are difficulties in traffic on the road axes "Bajram Curri-Valbonë" and "Kërrnaj-Pac-Shimshan", in Kukës, "Bogë-Qafë Thorë-Theth" and "Tamarë-Selcë-Vermosh", in Shkodër. Vehicles on these axes must pass with chains.

The "Bypass-Qafë Murrizë" road axis in Dibër is currently impassable, as the contracting firm is working to clear the road of snow.

Snowplows are on the ground and continue their work to clear the roads of snow and spread salt.

At the same time, measures have been taken on all national and urban road axes, due to the rainfall. In these conditions, the State Police appeals to drivers to moderate their speed, to stay in line on axes where there is a slowdown in traffic and to not make wrong overtaking.

In cases of need, road users should call the toll-free number 112 and the Police services will immediately go to them to provide the necessary assistance.
