The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has upheld the prison sentence for Ibrahim El Salih alias Letica, sentenced to 2.8 years in prison for supporting ISIS and supporting terrorism.

"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of judges Nertina Kosova (presiding), Dhimitër Lara (member) and Daniela Shirka (member), on 11.07.2023, completed the examination of the case registered with no. 39 act, date 01.06.2023 registration, on the appeal presented by the appellant/defendant IES(L.), against decision No. 14, date 13.02.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime which has decided:

"1. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant IES for committing the criminal offense "Incitement, public call and propaganda for the commission of acts with terrorist purposes", provided by article 232/a of the Criminal Code and his sentence of 4 years imprisonment.

2. Pursuant to Article 406/1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant IES is reduced by 1/3 (one third) of the sentence given, being ultimately sentenced to 2 years and 8 months of imprisonment.

3. The serving of the sentence starts from the moment of arrest and will be held in a prison of ordinary security..."

In conclusion, the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime decided:

Enforcing decision no. 14, dated 13.02.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime."
