According to the prosecution and the Police Supervision Agency, Lear Kurti died of cardiac arrest as a result of an overdose, after swallowing a bag of cocaine while being chased by the police.

The murder of Lear Kurti is shrouded in mystery. This has come as a result of the contradictory statements that were made at the beginning between the police, the AMP and the Trauma hospital. The opposition and the family accuse the young man of being raped in the police station, and today, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has announced that it has started investigations until the serious incident is fully clarified, confirming that a bag with traces was found in Lear Kurti's stomach. cocaine. 

According to the expert, Lear Kurti died on the evening of October 19 from a cardiac arrest caused as a result of an overdose, after swallowing a bag of cocaine, an action that is thought to have been done out of fear of being caught by the police with drugs. Until the complete clarification of the death of the 32-year-old at the hands of the police, chief police officer Muhamet Rrumbullaku suspended the officers who accompanied the young man to the police station.
