The fruit and vegetable market in the center of Vlora has been closed, as part of the project to revitalize the area near Sahat.

Traders oppose the relocation to Jalli e Narta, calling the area remote.

Merchants say that the new location is too far and unsuitable for their activity, while they are requesting an extension of the deadlines to sell the goods they have in stock.

One of the traders jokes that they have become like the Strait of Hormuz surrounded by police, while adding that the police allow drug dealers, while fruit and vegetable traders do not.

Conversation :

Citizen : We have become like the Strait of Hormuz, police there, police here.

Question: what are you selling?

Citizen : They leave drugs to us, they don't let us.

Question: Where are you going now? 

Citizen: In the hospital

Citizens have also expressed dissatisfaction, saying that the closure of the market leaves them without an important supply point for fresh produce.
