35-year-old Albanian wanted for murder, caught in Italy with Spanish documents

Italian police have arrested a 35-year-old Albanian man, who had been wanted for three years by Albanian authorities.

According to reports, the Albanian, whose identity is not known, was arrested in Moncalieri, Italy. At the time of his arrest, the Albanian presented officers with an identity card and a Spanish driver's license.

After being escorted to the police station in Turin and conducting further verifications, it turned out that the documents presented were completely forged and had been used to avoid controls within European countries.

Investigations also revealed that the 35-year-old was internationally wanted by Albanian authorities, as he is accused of participating in a criminal group, involvement in murder, illegal possession of weapons and providing means for criminal activity.

He was sentenced by the Tirana Court to three years and four months in prison. In the meantime, his extradition to Albania is awaited.
