"That's what my brain did, I was upset" - What Vehap Tota said,

Vehap Tota, a 25-year-old from Kamza, was arrested by the police and then remanded in custody by the Tirana court, after 4 days earlier, on August 21, 2026, he hit a police officer with the initials MD in the shoulder with a brick, leaving her unconscious in the yard of his house.

Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that at the time of his arrest, Vehap Tota admitted to the crime, stating that:

"...it's true that I hit the policewoman with a brick in the back. This was because she hadn't smoked hashish and I was bored and I didn't have any money. That's what my brain told me and that's what I did, that was the reason."

I picked up a brick and then shot the policewoman in the back. I also resisted the police, because I was upset, I hadn't smoked hashish yesterday and I was very tense and I took my anger out on the police. I have already regretted it, but in vain because it is too late. Then the police escorted me normally to the police station...”

The serious incident was recorded when a patrol from Police Station No. 5 went to the apartment to escort Vehap Tota's cohabitant, citizen Audeta Tahiri, as the latter was suspected by the criminal police of being the author of the burning of the car of citizen L. Hoti, who is a neighbor of the arrested Vehap Tota.

At 18:00, two police patrol officers, MD and AP, were assigned by the shift commander NC to go to "Paqësori" street in Frutikulturë Kamëz to escort Audeta Tahiri, as she was suspected of being involved in the burning of a car.

When they went to the apartment of 25-year-old Vehap Tota, who is her roommate, he told them: "...she's not the girl you're looking for...".

But during the police search of the apartment, she was found inside the house and in this situation the police detained her to accompany her to the police station as a suspect in the burning of L. Hoti's car, an event that occurred in Kamëz on August 18, 2026.

However, when the police found this citizen in the apartment, about whom Vehap Tota himself had declared to the police the day before that Audeta Tahiri had burned his neighbor's vehicle, he began to oppose the police forces by throwing stones and bricks at them.

One of the bricks that Vehapi threw hit police officer MD in the back, knocking her to the ground and rendering her unconscious.

Her two colleagues immediately took action by escorting her to the hospital center in Kamëz, where they urgently sent her by ambulance to the Trauma Hospital and at the same time accompanied Audeta Tahiri to the police station in connection with the incident, where she was a suspect.

The police officer sustained an injury to her right shoulder from the impact. A few hours later, Vehap Tota was arrested and has already been placed under the security measure of "Arrest in prison".

Previously, Vehap Tota was prosecuted by the police and convicted by the court for the criminal offense of "Domestic Violence" and "Theft". (Syri.net)
