New evidence is coming to light regarding the murder of 45-year-old Julieta Obzova in Nea Smyrni for police authorities who are trying to unravel the mystery of a completely premeditated crime.

Security camera footage captures the perpetrator's actions step by step, the attack at the entrance to the palace and the murder, while statements from relatives reveal the terror the victim was experiencing, as well as the suicide bomber's suspicious movements before the tragedy, Greek media report.

The video from the cameras recorded the moments the 45-year-old experienced shortly before her cold-blooded murder.

Minute by minute the scene of horror

As revealed by reviewing the footage, the perpetrator had set up a deadly ambush outside the building where the 45-year-old lived.

The man was filmed arriving at the area early and patiently waiting for the woman to arrive. The moment the 45-year-old opened the front door of the building, the perpetrator followed her.

After forcing her to her knees, he violently kicked her twice and then shot her in the head.

Immediately after his act, the perpetrator turned the gun on himself and committed suicide, ending his life next to the lifeless body of the 45-year-old.

Pathological jealousy, fear and changing the locks

Testimony from Juliet's relatives reveals that the 45-year-old lived in fear due to the perpetrator's behavior.

The victim's 16-year-old daughter, who was at home and heard the shooting, testified that she knew her mother was in a relationship, but that it had ended in February.

At the same time, the victim's brother testified that the 45-year-old woman had confessed to him that she was afraid of him and had made the final decision to end their relationship, citing the pathological jealousy he was displaying.

Furthermore, Julieta's brother revealed that the 45-year-old intended to change the locks on the house.

Testimony of the perpetrator's wife

The testimony of the perpetrator's legal wife to the police is also considered of particular importance.

She revealed that her husband's behavior had changed dramatically in the last year, often leaving the house in the evenings, while admitting that she was also afraid of him.

In fact, shortly before leaving to implement his criminal plan in Nea Smyrni, his husband left her the sum of 1,000 euros, asking her to keep it.

It appears that the perpetrator was leading a double life. The 45-year-old woman did not know that he was married. She believed that the perpetrator was divorced and, as it turned out later, the 48-year-old, originally from Albania, intended to put her in touch with his daughter.

Authorities continue to examine the perpetrator's cell phone and electronic devices, analyzing messages, calls, and internet searches to fully map his last movements before the death penalty.

At the same time, the perpetrator's criminal past in Albania is also being examined as it is suspected that he had disturbed local authorities in Tirana in 2016, for a case involving his wife, as well as for systematic harassment and stalking behavior.
