Arrested officials appear in court

The eight people arrested in connection with Altin Ndoc's escape from Durres hospital will appear before the Durres Court today, where they will be informed of the security measures.

Among those arrested are head nurse Aulon Çuko, deputy chief of the prison police, Desdemon Pazaj, and five escort police officers: Dorjan Saraçi, Sal Ferollari, Preng Marvataj, Fatjon Baçi and Aranit Çela. Citizen Violeta Uka, responsible for notifying the operating rooms during the escort, was also arrested.

The Durrës Court imposed "house arrest" on the prison hospital doctor, Ylfete Sema.

Also, yesterday, the former director of Durrës prison, Indrit Cerloj, was arrested as part of the same operation.

We recall that Ndoci, a highly dangerous person, managed to escape from Durres hospital on January 13.
