Drugs worth 20 million euros seized in Bergamo, two Albanians in handcuffs

Over 160 kilograms of cocaine have been seized by the Guardia di Finanza in the province of Bergamo, in an operation coordinated by the departments operating under the direction of the Brescia Court of Appeal. As part of this operation, two Albanians have been arrested and sent to prison, on charges of drug trafficking.

The seizure was carried out after a heavy TIR vehicle was stopped in an industrial area of ??Bergamo. Italian authorities announced that following several surveillance services and checks in industrial and commercial areas of the provinces of Brescia and Bergamo, which are considered of high investigative interest, suspicious movements of the heavy vehicle were noticed.

The TIR driver entered the trailer and waited for the arrival of a second vehicle, which was handed over seven large bags. Guardia di Finanza officers intervened immediately, blocking the vehicles and arresting the people involved.

During the search, a total of 150 packages of cocaine were seized, with a total weight of over 160 kilograms. According to estimates, the narcotic substance would bring profits of around 20 million euros on the illegal market.
