The leader of the Joint Movement, Arlind Qori, reacted on Thursday to the violence displayed during Sali Berisha's protest, considering it a sign of the weakness of the Democratic Party.
"The only authentic violence arises from spontaneous protests by the people. But when a party stages violence, this is unacceptable and shows impotence. Violence is used to hide powerlessness, lack of credibility and popularity," Qori said in an interview for the Studio Live show on Report TV.
He also criticized the approach of some parties, such as Agron Shehaj's, which according to him change their positions from day to night towards Berisha. Qori ruled out the possibility of a merger with other parties, opposing the "soap operaization of politics" and emphasizing that salvation does not come from bargaining between politicians. He also does not support the idea of ??a technical government, as requested by Berisha, but favors early elections.
"Salvation cannot come from the bargaining of politicians. The right solution is early elections. Those who see politics as bargaining only think about personal benefits. Today, Sali Berisha says that it is better to have half of the government and govern together with Edi Rama to serve the oligarchy," Qori added.
The leader of the Bashke Movement also criticized the silence of Berisha and the Democratic Party regarding the protest of Rrjoll residents against the Bashkim Ulaj resort in Velipojë.
“Sali Berisha becomes a ‘super diplomat’ when he has to talk about the protest of the residents of Rrjoll. He can distort any situation, but here he turns a buffalo into a fly,” said Qori, emphasizing the Lëvizja Bashke’s stance against what he called “economic oligarchy.”
The residents of Rrjoll oppose the construction of a tourist resort by the company "Gener 2", arguing that the land where the project is planned is their legal property.
Community representatives have submitted ownership documentation to the Prosecutor's Office, and have addressed the Municipality of Shkodra for clarification on the procedures followed for issuing the construction permit, requesting institutional verification and full transparency on the administrative process.
