Yesterday's DP primaries were a process that was also accompanied by incidents and irregularities, according to the denunciations of the participants in the race, who, as a sign of protest, withdrew, describing these elections as unfair and unequal.

In 9 municipalities, the race was absent because there was a candidate on the ballot, not only because there was no rival in front of him, but also because of withdrawals at the last minute.

In addition to leaving the race, after the start of the voting process, in 4 municipalities only one candidate was placed from the beginning, in Shkodër Bardh Spahia, in Elbasan Luciano Boçi, in Kukës Admir Sinamati and in Poliçan Behar Xhaferaj.

The problem with the lists of members and sympathizers who voted for the first time blocked the process in Lezhë for several hours, while in Tropoja candidate Feride Rrahmanaj claimed that 600 members had disappeared from the list and therefore gave up the race today. The stalemate with the lists was also accepted by Sali Berisha.

"I cannot say that everything is perfect, but these problems do not overshadow the primaries", said Berisha.

The most flagrant case was recorded in the PD branch in Kuçovo where the mayor Myslim Haxhiu and the candidate Brikena Koroveshi resigned, after accusations that the municipality forgave the candidate of Ilir Meta, Lefter Maliqi. Besides Kuçova, the Freedom Party targets Memaliaj, Skrapar, Përrenjas and Kamza.

The orientation of the vote was also denounced in Berat by the candidate Sazan Guri. In Malesenia e Madhe Berisha's primaries were rejected and no polling station was set up, meanwhile in the minority municipalities of Himarë, Finiq, Dropull the elections were absent as PBDNJ of Vangjel Dules wants to keep the 3 municipalities, while the Macedonian minority aims for Pustec.

KAMEZ

Another accusation came from the candidates themselves who participated in the primary process organized by Berisha DP. This time, the accusation came from the candidate of the Kamza primaries, Asllan Dogjani. He has shown that the voting for the municipality of Kamza had a large number of irregularities.

"It is a process where the vote was stolen within the Democratic Party. This is shameful to steal between each other, I have nothing more to say", said Dogjani.

Arjan Hoxha will be the PD candidate for the municipality of Kamza, in the local elections of May 14.

Kurbini

Lindita Selala Toma denounced what she called manipulations with Kurbini's primaries. According to her, the 318 votes would have multiplied if the real democratic sympathizers of the city of Laci were included, who were left out of the lists to favor one of the candidates. She stated that these filth started from the top by changing the membership list 2 times and the list of sympathizers by giving them only 8 hours before the start of the voting process.

In the membership list, the candidate said, there were significant problems by leaving out Democrats, replacing them with people who are not related to the Democratic Party. The lists also included leftists who have never voted for the Democratic Party.

"There were members who voted 2 or 3 times in 3 different polling stations. You see anonymous sympathizers voting, and on the other hand, you see Democrats with three party affiliations since 1991 saying why I was deleted from the lists of the Democratic Party. I was very confident that with the free vote of the members they would vote freely for the candidate they wanted to lead the Kurbi Municipality, but unfortunately the opposite happened" - said the candidate Lindita Selala Toma.

Tropoje

After the withdrawal of one of the candidates in Tropoja, Feride Rrahmana, the democrats accused that the lists had been manipulated.

Astrit Rexhaj, a member of Tropoja PD for 31 years, said that Rrahmana, the strongest candidate for the municipality, withdrew after more than 600 voters were removed from the list.

"I am very sorry for where they have led this party and the blame for this situation lies with the deputy Isuf Çelaj and the chairman of the Democratic Party candidate for the Municipality of Tropoja," said Rexhaj for tpz.al.

Saranda

The candidate of the DP primaries for the municipality of Saranda, Armando Magllara, has officially left this political force. He has made serious accusations about the primaries process, where he emphasizes that despite having received guarantees from DP leaders such as Sali Berisha or Flamur Noka, nothing like this happened. He has even made other accusations where he states that half of Saranda PD are sentenced to prison.

Professor Sazan Guri has also rebelled with the primaries. He ran in the primaries for the municipality of Berat and managed to get only 32 votes. Zija Ismaili was declared the winner with 527 votes.

Guri reacted through a post on Facebook after the announcement of the result, accusing of manipulation of the result.

"I didn't put observers as they asked me because I couldn't understand how to steal votes within the category. I didn't even hear until the end, that when they came out after the vote, they called me 'great professor' and when I left, my face betrayed me, my voice, above all the eyes that were quickly taken out of my sight, and then I ran away from noon. not giving a hand to those who didn't deserve it and after a few hours they told me the result: I, out of 610 people who voted out of 2400 members of the DP who were added by 500 sympathizers of the candidate by order up to 2900 voters, won 30 seats, or the brave who don't ask about pressure, or the warriors who kill fear. only in one city. Don't forget that there were not even our 30 revivalists with two million inhabitants in 1870-1912 in all the Albanian territories" - wrote Guri.

Shkoder

Low participation in the primaries of Shkodra. To vote for the only candidate for mayor, Bardh Spahinë, only 743 people turned out to vote, while 4,000 voters, ie members of the opposition, were registered on the DP list.

Kucova

Lefter Maliqi has reacted after the closing of the counting process of the primaries. Maliqi was alone in the race for the municipality of Kuçova, after the candidate Brikena Koroveshi withdrew from the race after accusations of manipulation. Maliqi writes that on May 14 the victory is certain for the municipality of Kuçova, while he says that all his promises will come true.

"Thanks to 352 democrats and opposition for voting in the Primary. Of these, 339 are in favor, 6 are against, and 7 are invalid. Thanks to the two Meta-Berisha leaders for their trust. Together with hard work towards the sure victory on May 14 of Kučovo Municipality. Every promise will turn into action, with immediate changes in infrastructure, image, education, culture, health, sports, agriculture, employment, etc. in Kuçova of oilmen, aviators and intellectuals. The municipality will be open and belong to the citizens, not the Mayor", wrote Maliqi.
