The head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho, has reacted after the latest operation of the institution he heads, where 150 million euros of assets were seized. Through a reaction on social networks, SPAK has shared the reaction of the head of the institution.

"SPAK continues to crack down on organized crime networks involved in drug trafficking from Latin America to Europe and the United Kingdom, money laundering and criminal assets."

Assets of criminal origin harm the legitimate economy, free competition, and the economic activity of businesses that operate legally and honestly.

"They increase the economic power of organized crime, are used to finance criminal activity and do not bring any public good," Braho's message states.

"For this reason, assets of criminal origin must be seized, confiscated, transferred to the state and used for legitimate purposes."

SPAK guarantees that its actions only target assets of criminal origin and assets related to criminal activity.

"In no case will the property rights and other real rights of natural persons and legal entities that invest in economic activities or private enterprises with legally acquired monetary assets and assets be violated," the message further states.

SPAK has cracked down on another suspected international cocaine trafficking and money laundering network, executing security measures for 10 people and seizing over 491 assets worth around 150 million euros.

Meanwhile, four days ago, another group led by the Koçeku brothers was hit and several assets worth more than 130 million euros were seized.
