The National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber ​​Security has reacted after the cyber attacks that occurred on the ONE telephone company and the Assembly of the Republic of Albania.

AKCESK says that it has immediately set up groups of experts to closely assist the institutions in managing the cyber attack.

These infrastructures, according to the legislation in force, are not currently classified as critical or important information infrastructure.

In AKSESK's response, it is emphasized that the cyber attacks were not carried out by Albanian IP, as has been alluded to in some portals.

"Throughout these two days, AKCESK and AKEP experts in coordination with the responsible teams of the institutions are working for the recovery of the affected systems, as well as analyzing the tactics, techniques and procedures used by the actors of the attack. Also, it is worth noting that the attacks were not initiated by the Albanian IP.

AKCESK is also coordinating the work with international partners to support the institutions in performing an in-depth analysis on the evidence of the consequences that the attack may have caused in these infrastructures in the fastest possible time. At the same time, the findings so far have been shared in real time with all critical and important information infrastructures from the traces of the attack actors identified in order to prevent similar cyber attacks on these infrastructures.

The cooperation coordinated by AKCESK with the engagement of public institutions, critical infrastructures and international partners shows a common will to undertake effective measures against cyber attacks as well as to strengthen cyber security at the national level", says the reaction of AKCESK.
