Mendim Domi, one of the bosses of the "Call-Centers" who was hiding in the capital, was arrested by the Tirana police, as he was wanted as a person who had defrauded thousands of European citizens.

Mendim Domi is part of a criminal group denounced in the media in December 2022, where, together with other people, they benefited an amount of over 15 million euros through a fraud scheme with call centers.

Initially, Domi was discovered and then declared wanted by the prosecutor of Tirana, Bledar Valikaj. Further, the latter announced his incompetence by passing the investigation file to SPAK, and that currently the investigations are being directed by the prosecutor, Ened Nakuçi.

This is because the name of Mendim Domit has not only appeared in the investigation file of the Tirana prosecutor's office, but also in another criminal case that is being pursued by the special prosecutor of SPAK, Ened Nakuçi.

Therefore, due to two parallel investigations, SPAK has withdrawn the investigative acts from the Tirana prosecutor's office, for the part of Mendim Domi and the other arrested citizen Jusel Mici, Domi's accomplice.

In the investigation file it is stated that Domi is the owner of the company "Mone Advertising" registered on February 3, 2022.

Meanwhile, he also owns another chain of companies, such as "Mendim Domi" in the field of telephony, "Mendim Domi" in the field of construction, "NM-09" in the field of food trade, which Mendim Domi bought in 26 June 2021 for only 1 million old lek from citizen Kastriot Xhani.

At the same time, in the name of Mendim Domi, there is also the company "Super Foods" founded in January 2020, where Domi, it turns out, has 40 percent of the shares, Jusel Mici 20 percent and Gerald Lamaj is the owner of 40 percent of the shares.

While according to the prosecution, the "Vibemedia" company, which was once founded by Mendim Domi and Jusel Mici, was sold on August 29, 2018 for 100 thousand old lek to the Italian citizen, Maurizio Giacalone.

Jusel Miçi is one of the closest collaborators of Mendim Dom in the fraud activity with "call-centers".

Police notification

A wanted citizen accused of computer fraud committed in the form of a structured criminal group is arrested.

The services of the Special Forces Sector for Special Operations and Search, following the work for the location, capture and bringing before the criminal responsibility of the citizens declared wanted, based on the information provided on the operative route, for the location of a declared citizen in search, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Team".

As a result of this operation, the wanted citizen MD, 30 years old, resident in Tirana, was detained.

This citizen has been declared wanted after the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense "Computer fraud", carried out in cooperation, in the form of a structured criminal group.

This citizen, in collaboration with other citizens, has deceived foreign citizens, convincing them to invest in cryptocurrencies, various sums of money, which they then embezzled.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
