The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita , has provided details regarding the operation of the Greek authorities against cocaine trafficking from Colombia, where an Albanian citizen is among the arrested persons.

Hita said that the Albanian Police have exchanged information in real time with their Greek counterparts about the operation conducted in Athens, where a quantity of cocaine was seized and several Albanian citizens were arrested.

According to him, one of the arrested turns out to be a person wanted by the Albanian authorities, convicted of murder and considered highly dangerous. 

"We have had a real-time exchange of information with our Greek counterparts. They have informed us of an operation in Athens, where they seized a quantity of cocaine and arrested several Albanian citizens. Among them is a person wanted on behalf of Albania, convicted of murder, with high risk, but since the information is confidential I cannot make his name public. We have continued verifications in all the areas that concern us, starting our investigations regarding this case involved in this criminal activity," said Hita.
