Paris Saint-Germain defender and Morocco's representative, Achraf Hakimi, could face a court case following rape allegations, according to French daily Le Parisien.

The Nanterre prosecutor's office has filed an indictment request on August 1, 2025 to take the case to the Hauts-de-Seine criminal court.

The suspected incident took place in February 2023, at Hakim's house in Boulogne-Billancourt near Paris. He has always categorically denied the accusation.

According to Le Parisien, the suspected victim, 26, had been communicating with the footballer through Instagram for more than a month, before visiting him at the apartment. She claims that Hakim kissed and touched her without her consent and then forcibly forced her. Initially, she did not file a formal report, but then submitted messages to investigators describing the trauma she had experienced.

Hakimi was placed under official investigation on March 3, 2023 and was interrogated after spending a few hours in custody. He has denied everything, claiming that it is an attempt at financial blackmail.
Paris Saint-Germain has continued to stand by the player, emphasizing his trust in the judicial process.

The club stated that his absences from training were for "personal reasons".

In December 2023, Hakim and the plaintiff faced off in court, where they each stood by their own version of events.

Then, in January 2025, Hakimi stated to a blogger: "The truth is that when you are successful, you become an easy target for some people. They wanted to blackmail me, that's why we filed a report. Justice has done well so far."

The case is currently in the hands of the investigating judge, who will decide whether or not there will be a criminal trial. If found guilty, Hakim faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
