"My job is to score goals and I think I can repeat Lille's 25 goals in Italy, I am ambitious like Juventus and I came here to become one of the best strikers in the world." These are the words of Jonathan David, who arrived at the Bianconeri as a free agent after 77 goals in the last three seasons in France.

"The first week has gone well - emphasizes the Canadian under the watchful eyes of managers Comolli, Chiellini and Modesto - and my teammates have helped me a lot.

"The conversation with Tudor was very positive, I'm young and he explained clearly what he expects from me as the first striker. I don't expect to always be the starter, but I will give my best. My job is to score. To score 25 goals again? Why not... I think I can do it: it will be a big challenge, Serie A is more tactical and more defensive."

Juventus and the title

David had many demands, in Italy and in the Premier League, but in the end he insisted on the Bianconeri. "We discussed with the directors and with my teammates - David continues - there was a great interest. Juventus was the club I preferred and in the end I found myself in Italy. The title? Every year and every season can be the right one to return to victory. The championship is difficult, but you have to have the ambition to go all the way".

From team goals to personal ones. "Will I win the Ballon d'Or in the future? I'm not going that far, but if I'm here it's because I want to become one of the best strikers in the world. Juventus is a big club and there have been many legends like Del Piero, Trezeguet, Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain, Dybala..."

Number 30 for dad

The new Juventus player will play with number 30: "I chose it for my father, I started playing for him. I am very religious and I think it is important to have faith to reach the top. Me, the Iceman? I am very cold and that helps me in the game. I scored against big teams because I am competitive and I like to score goals. When I was little I had some role models, from Drogba to Eto'o," said David.
