Barcelona's plan for Messi

Lionel Messi

Barcelona chiefs will meet with La Liga chiefs next week to discuss the possibility of signing Lionel Messi. The subject of the conversation will be the possibility of the Argentine star's registration in the next season.

The Blaugrana club has drawn up a feasibility plan to reduce the salary limit set by La Liga for the next season, reports "Diario Sport". In recent months, the Catalan club have worked to reduce spending, including cutting wages and transfers in order to avoid FFP sanctions for next season.

The club expects La Liga to give the green light to negotiations with Messi's representatives. The meeting will take place in order for the leaders to know if the La Liga bosses will not become an obstacle in the event of the recovery of Leo Messi and will approve the operation.

The return of Messi is of interest not only for Barcelona, but also for Spanish football, from where the two stars Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have left.

Despite the increase in tensions with the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, regarding the Negreira case, the Catalans are optimistic that the Messi operation will be successful.
