Kylian Mbappe, 25, moved from PSG to Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer, but he will stay part-time in France.

According to French media reports, Mbappe has become the owner of the famous French club Caen, a former French Ligue 1 team that now competes in Ligue 2.

Mbappe paid just under 20 million euros for the purchase of the majority of shares (80%) owned by Caen, while the minority owner will remain Pierre-Antoine Capton, whose share is worth five million euros, 20%.

Interestingly, Mbappe wanted to join Caen as a child, as the club recognized his potential to become a big star.

The family felt it was a healthy and safe environment for Kylian, but the deal fell through when Caen were relegated from Ligue 1 in 2011/12, when Mbappe was 13.

With this business venture, the 25-year-old Mbappe became the youngest owner of a football club in Europe, as that "title" was previously held by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, the 27-year-old owner of the English Sunderland.
